At just 18 years of age, Tater Sontag is the reigning IFMAR Electric 1/10 Off-Road 2wd Buggy World Champion after winning the 2023 title (at age 16) at Hobby Action RC Raceway in Chandler, Arizona. Having started in RC at the age of five, Tater races both 1/10 and 1/8 off-road and has enjoyed success in both scales with five ROAR national championships, including the 2024 1/8 eBuggy crown. This year Tater moves to a completely new XRAY program with Cayote electronics, MKS servos, and ProMotion tires.

Residing in Grand Blanc, Michigan, Tater enjoys playing golf and video games. He often plays a variety of video games online with some of his fellow world-ranked RC driving friends.
